Every team needs a good leader. And in our kitchen's, we need someone that can crush recipes, slaughter prep, and show the team how it's done (literally). This role is the #1 in the kitchen, and #2 in the restaurant. Their palate needs to be as strong as their resolve, and their knife skills must rival a samurai's.

Here's how our ideal candidate shows up:

  • On time
  • Responsible
  • Has experience in restaurants
  • Has experience cooking in a restaurant kitchen
  • Has experience running a kitchen
  • Has led people before, ideally not off any cliffs
  • Able to stand, bend, pivot and lift up to 30 lbs for 8 hours at a time
  • Eager to grow/learn/develop
  • Cares about where they work

Requirements & Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • Must know and follow food safety procedures
  • Must be able and willing to obtain ServSafe Certification
  • Must hold a Food Handlers Certification Card
  • Must have communication skills
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks
  • Must be able to give direction and work well with different types of people
  • Must be ready to be on the line, making food

Responsibilities:

  • Make sure all food is prepared safely, correctly, deliciously 
  • Maintaining a clean and well-organized working environment
  • Helping other team members to ensure all prep and recipes are made correctly and in a timely manner
  • Assist other staff members with tasks when the need arises
  • Enforcing food safety procedures and regulations
  • Making the foods
  • Directing others in making recipes
  • Assist in the dish area
  • Training all back of house staff to prep, cook and wash dishes

Pay & Benefits:

  • A minimum of $18.00 per hour, between tips and wages.
  • Better pay than you'll find at a fast casual gig, more in line with a full service restaurant
  • Reasonable hours, we aren't open early, or late.
