The Biomedical Technician II (BMET II) is responsible for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and verifying the performance of complex biomedical equipment with minimal supervision. This role also advises clinical staff on equipment use, assists with equipment selection, and upholds the company’s core values of respect, integrity, value creation, and positive change. U.S. Military Veterans, Reservists, National Guardsmen, and/or Military Spouses encouraged to apply.
Pay: Up to $33/hour
Location: Various hospitals in the Shelbyville area
Schedule: Monday-Friday, with on-call requirements
Key Responsibilities
Technical Service (40%)
- Perform maintenance, safety checks, and repairs on complex biomedical equipment.
- Document activities, coordinate with subcontractors, and maintain expertise through training.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
Regulatory Compliance (25%)
- Maintain accurate equipment records and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Complete service documentation promptly and accurately.
Customer Relationships (25%)
- Build relationships with clinical staff, discuss equipment status, and represent company values.
Inventory Management (10%)
- Conduct inspections, maintain inventory records, and provide recommendations for equipment management.
Skills and Experience
- Advanced computer skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in electronics/technical field, military experience, or equivalent.
- Certification (CBET) preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in a clinical engineering environment.
- Valid driver’s license; some travel may be required.
