Seeking a US Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military Spouse to apply for a Dispatcher opportunity with our client, 80% of whose business is delivering medications to hospice patients in a 24/7/365 operation. The Dispatcher role is critical for ensuring smooth operations by coordinating schedules, tracking vehicles and equipment, and maintaining effective communication with team members and clients. High School Diploma/GED, 1 year of dispatch and/or OTR driving experience highly encouraged, valid driver’s license, and strong communication required.
Pay: $18.00-$23.00/hour
Training: 1st week: 8am – 5pm
Working Hours: Mon – Fri: 3pm – 12am or Sun – Thurs: 12pm – 9pm
Essential Duties and Accountabilities
· Responsible for receiving and transmitting pure and reliable messages, tracking vehicles and equipment, and recording other important information.
· Interact with clients, drivers and supervising personnel to keep up-to-date information on routes, schedules and daily workflow using telephones, two-way radios, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
· Prepare daily scheduled and on demand work for dispatch of courier fleet to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs.
· Schedule and assign drivers routes, destinations, and timelines, as well as keep in touch with drivers who are on the road.
· Monitor driver's schedules, keep track of substitute drivers and assign as needed.
· Confer with clients or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, and requests for orders.
· Other duties, as assigned, which can include making courier deliveries when needed, assisting in driver recruiting /training, etc.
Requirements
· US Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military Spouse highly encouraged.
· High School Diploma/GED required.
· 1 year of dispatch and/or OTR driving experience highly encouraged.
· 1 year experience with dispatching software (Xcelerator by Key Software Systems) preferred.
· 2 years of computer literacy, MS Office, typing 60 wpm required.
· Valid driver’s license and clean MVR required.
· Strong communication skills required.
· Go-getter with a positive attitude, who can solve problems in real time required.

· Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency in using dispatch tools and technology (e.g., two-way radios, scheduling software).
