Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with Plant Operating Directors and the Assistant Controller, this individual will have responsibility for ensuring that the company’s inventory and cost of sales is accounted for accurately and timely in this fast-paced manufacturing environment.Hands on Managing of day to day operations of the cost accounting function supporting Operations teams across multiple plantsPartner with FP&A Finance and Operation team to ensure Bill of Material accuracy and understand cost variationMonitors material cost variances to standards during month-end close to ensure the accuracy of financial statementsReconciles and researches variance issues, determines causes and coordinates/drives correctionsPerform month-end close responsibilities accurately and timely as assigned and in compliance with internal controlsProvide frequent and timely support to various business partners throughout the organizationCreate and manage complex spreadsheets of inventory dataMonthly inventory balancing across various locations and accountsMonitors cycle count program and performs Capitalized Variance analysisProvide support for the yearly inventory audit counts as neededAssist with interim and annual financial audits Document policies and procedures, standardize and streamline process efficienciesPerform other projects as assignedEnsure continuous Improvement in reporting and analyticsMinimum QualificationBachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CMA preferredPrevious experience in a large manufacturing environment utilizing Oracle ERP system preferredApproximately 5-7 years relevant Cost Accounting experience requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAttention to details and good organizational skillsSpreadsheet modeling skillsProven Advanced MS Excel required
