What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Victorian Motel?
Seeking a year-round housekeeper to join the team at our Cape May, NJ motel. The candidate should possess experience working in hotel/motel environments. Must speak English. End of season bonuses available based on completion of season.
Housekeeper duties include, but are not limited to:
- Typical cleaning duties include changing linens, wiping and dusting all guest room surfaces, vacuuming, mopping, etc.
- Check and clean rooms after guest checkout for cleanliness, personal items, item inventory, etc.
- Clean metal fixtures and fittings
- Empty and clean trash containers, disposing of trash in a sanitary manner
- Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers
- Make up beds and change linens as required, replacing dirty linens with clean items
- Replace bath linens as required
- Restock room supplies such as drinking cups, soaps, shampoos, etc.
- Inspect/inventory all kitchen cabinets for cleanliness & organization
- Clean stove top, sink, refrigerator, cabinets and counters
- Report missing items in rooms & kitchens to front desk
- Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
- Monitor and report necessary repairs and replacements
