What are the responsibilities and job description for the VCU Athletics *Ticket Operations* Graduate Assistant position at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU)?
VCU Athletics is seeking graduate assistants to assist in the daily operations of the Ticket Operations area.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Assisting with counter and phone sales for Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, Baseball, and Siegel Center special events using the Paciolan Ticketing System.;
• Assisting in the men’s basketball game day operations by overseeing the student entrance and will call;
• Assisting with reconciliation of event sales and help with reporting of revenue generation, event attendance, and ticket-related donations;
• Serve as Box Office manager and supervise game day ticket operations for assigned sports;
• Build events, promo codes, group sales links and other ticketed items to sell on VCUAthletics.com;
• Performing other related duties as assigned by the Assistant AD for Ticket Operations and Assistant Director of Ticketing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• Admittance into a VCU graduate program;
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a graduate assistant at VCU;
Preferred:
• Knowledge of and prior work experience in intercollegiate athletics;
• Strong customer service skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented;
• Exceptional verbal and written communication; and
• Experience in cash handling.
Evening and weekend hours required; 20-25 hours per week.
