Virginia Family Services (VFS) is on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team as a Senior Clinician. At VFS, we are committed to delivering exceptional behavioral health services that empower individuals and families across Virginia.
Position Overview:
As the Senior Clinician, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Clinical Department at VFS. You will work closely with Clinical Supervisors, ensuring compliance with VFS standards, managing staff, and overseeing the delivery of services to our clients. This is an in-person position based in Richmond, VA, where you will supervise and guide our dedicated team of Clinical Supervisors in the Addiction Recovery Treatment Services Department. Programs Include Substance Use Intensive Outpatient, and Substance Use Partial Hospitalization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and provide support to Clinical Supervisors in maintaining high-quality service delivery and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Oversee clinical documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards.
- Collaborate with Clinical Supervisors to address staffing, documentation, and community relationship-building.
- Foster partnerships within the community to enhance care coordination for our clients.
- Assist with marketing efforts to help meet company census goals.
- Utilize company systems, databases, and software effectively within the scope of your duties.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards, including HIPAA compliance.
- Attend and participate in required training, meetings, and supervision sessions.
- Demonstrate strong ethical practice and client relationship management.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Psychology or a related Human Services field.
- Active Virginia licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in community-based services, working with children, adolescents, and adults.
- Valid Virginia State Driver's License, automobile insurance, and a positive driving record.
- Eligible Background Required
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong ethical practice with excellent client relationship and interpersonal skills.
- Competency in assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention, particularly in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Mental Health (MH) contexts.
- Familiarity with ASAM Criteria and DSM-V.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain high standards of work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Ability to handle aggressive behaviors with appropriate interventions.
- Proficiency in written and spoken communication.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Word and Excel.
- Previous experience in case management and related documentation.
