Position Summary
Virginia Green is currently seeking a paid Human Resources Intern in Richmond, Virginia. The ideal candidate is entering their junior or senior year pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. The intern can expect to be involved in assisting with recruiting, events, job fairs, and onboarding new hires, developing training materials and presentations, tracking and evaluating training programs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with screening resumes and conduct initial screening of candidates.
- Compile a list of job fairs relevant to Virginia Green.
- Assist with the evaluation and design of the new hire onboarding process.
- Drafting communications for internal platforms
- Document processes and procedures
- Work closely with the training department to track and evaluate our training programs
- Provide administrative support to the team as requested
Required Qualifications / Attributes
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization professionally
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Education and Experience
- Must be a current college student in good standing: Human Resources, Education, and Communications majors preferred.
Minimum Physical Requirements
- Walking, standing, bending, reaching, and twisting
- Ability to use computer keyboard and monitor for extended periods
- Ability to lift approximately 15-20 lbs.
