Virginia Retina Specialists is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Reston, VA

Virginia Retina Specialists is looking for a friendly, experienced, and responsible individual to be a part of the medical front desk team. The applicant should have a can-do attitude, multitask, and be a team player.

*It is a plus if applicant is bilingual, preferably English and Spanish**

*Applicant must have their own car and able to travel to different office locations (see below)**

Job Duties:

  • Greet patients in welcoming manner, check -in and check -out patients.
  • Answer phones and schedule appointments.
  • Proficient in electronic medical records.
  • Verify current patient demographics and insurance information.
  • Verify insurance benefits and assist with billing and payments.
  • Collecting copays.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned as specified by the physician.

Job Requirements:

  • Prefer 1 years of experience in a medical front office.
  • Excellent patient communication skills required.
  • Must be knowledgeable of Word and Excel. EMR experience a plus.
  • Professional demeanor, energetic, with a focus on excellent customer service.
  • Travel between offices is REQUIRED and a functional vehicle for travel is expected. Travel is minimized and allowance for offices closer to place of residence is maintained as much as possible.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.

The ideal candidate will:

-Have prior experience working in an medical office setting.

- Have knowledge of Insurances and Referrals.

- Be team oriented, reliable, and punctual.

-Must be good at communicating with patients both in person and on the phone.

Salary commensurate with experience. We look forward to hearing from you.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
