Position Summary
We are seeking a Finance Technology Senior Associate to join our dynamic Finance Technology Team at Vista Equity Partners. This role is integral to our team’s ability to stay ahead of the curve in the fast-paced world of finance technology. The Finance Technology Senior Associate will collaborate with corporate accounting to transform business processes, optimizing financial systems to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve organizational performance.
This role is based in Austin, TX and is for an immediate start.
Responsibilities
- Finance Project Management: Serve as the primary contact for finance project requests, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Advanced Analytics: Utilize advanced Excel skills for data modeling, cleanup, and reconciliation, managing and analyzing large datasets efficiently.
- Prototype Development: Develop tactical prototypes using Excel financial modeling to test new finance technology ideas.
- Power Platform Solutions: Design and implement Power Automate solutions to optimize financial processes.
- SQL and Python Development: Create SQL views for data analysis and maintain Python libraries for financial operations.
- Collaboration and Innovation: Work with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions, staying current on relevant technologies.
- Testing, Documentation, and Support: Develop test plans, maintain documentation, and support applications like Concur, Sage Intacct, and FloQast.
- Training: Train the finance team to enhance productivity and streamline processes using existing tools.
Qualifications
- Experience in Financial services preferred, private equity or credit is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or related degree. Masters in related field preferred; not required.
- Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in financial modelling.
- General understanding of software development & project management methodologies.
- Experience with rapid prototyping and agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools.
- Proficiency with Power Platform including Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps
- Advanced Excel, VBA
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Financial Systems and ERP experience.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
