Vice President, FP&A

Position Summary

Vista is seeking to hire a highly skilled and experienced Vice President to enhance and build out the financial planning and analysis capabilities of the firm. This is a newly created position, and a hands-on role which will require the candidate to design, build and implement FP&A best practices which provide leadership with the insight to make informed decisions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial services preferably at a large private equity or alternatives asset manager. The successful candidate will work closely with the executive team and cross-functional departments to support business initiatives, synthesize data into thoughtful presentations that provide actionable insights. The candidate must thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment with competing demands and tight deadlines. 

This role is based in Austin, TX and is available for an immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Develop a highly capable and effective financial planning and analysis function.
• Manage and train team with best practices to enhance effectiveness.
• Develop and continually improve the annual budget and forecasting process.
• Develop long range planning models to facilitate strategic planning.
• Prepare and facilitate quarterly business reviews across the organization.
• Provide the CFO with monthly reporting packs and further explanations of variance to budget and prior year.
• Provide quarterly financial reporting presentations which provide key insight and awareness to the Executive Team and business partners
• Provide thought leadership on ways to meeting the firm’s financial goals
• Enhance business intelligence tools, dashboard reports, and incorporate AI tools into daily activities.
• Develop financial models to aid in scenario modeling and ad-hoc analyses which will support strategic projects and investments.
• Assume ownership of and enhance Firm model to provide a wholistic view of fund returns.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis with a strong understanding of financial modelling, forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Proven experience of working at a private equity or alternative investments manager.
• The ability to communicate complex financial information and insights effectively to internal and non-financial stakeholders.
• Demonstrate the ability to think strategically, whilst being able to see the big picture and drive long term value.
• Experience communicating and presenting to executive leadership
