Job Description: Clinical Supervisor
*This role requires the individual to be a licensed mental health counselor (LCSW, LPC, LMHC, etc.,)
The Clinical Supervisor plays a crucial role in the organization's Behavioral Heath Respite Provider (BHRP) team, responsible for overseeing and guiding the clinical activities within the designated department. Reporting to the Director of Behavioral Health Respite Services, this position requires a professional with strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to ensuring high-quality client care.
Clinical supervisors promote the successful implementation of this program through evaluation and assessment. Offering opportunities for the development of behavioral health respite skillsets and approaches. Making recommendations for and participating in the development of training and education that increases these successes. This individual will also be responsible for tracking our adherence to compliance with state mandated regulations and standards of care including adherence to HIPPA, documentation and ongoing skills training with employees.
Accountabilities:
- Clinical Oversight:
- Provide supervision, partnership, and development to staff, ensuring adherence to established protocols, standards, and best practices.
- Conduct regular assessments of care processes and procedures to ensure client/provider safety, enhance client satisfaction and effectiveness of this program.
- Staff Development:
- Mentor and support program care providers, fostering an environment that is positive and collaborative.
- Coordinate and facilitate ongoing training and professional development opportunities for BHRP.
- Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with Directors to establish and maintain quality assurance initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies of safety, provider and client satisfaction and program efficacy.
- Implement and monitor performance tracking and improvement plans as needed.
- Client Care Coordination:
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize client care delivery and streamline interdisciplinary communication.
- Oversee the development and implementation of treatment plans, ensuring individualized and client-centered care.
- Supervision and Evaluation:
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for staff, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement or additional training.
- Address personnel issues promptly and in accordance with organizational policies.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation, adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to the Director on activities, outcomes, and any relevant issues.
- Resource Management:
- Assist in the allocation of resources, including staffing levels, equipment, and supplies to optimize program operations.
- Collaborate with the Directors to develop and manage the departmental budget effectively.
- Collaborate with Director:
- Communicate regularly with Directors to provide updates on departmental activities, challenges, and successes.
- Collaborate with Recruiting:
- Collaborate with Recruiter to drive hiring and ensure understanding of staffing needs.
-Collaborate on strategic planning and contribute to the development of training and education, quality metrics, and policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Licensed mental health professional (e.g., LCSW, LPC) with significant clinical experience.
- Leadership experience in a mental health setting.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and crisis intervention skills.
- Knowledge of relevant mental health laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to navigate and make informed decisions in a dynamic and challenging mental health environment.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL VITALCARE EMPLOYEES:
- Current background check and TB screening upon hire and annual TB Risk Assessment thereafter
- Compliance with current COVID vaccine requirements
- Influenza vaccination upon hire if hired between October and May, and annually thereafter.
- Possession of a valid state driver's license with reliable transportation and applicable car insurance
Upon demonstrating proficiency in the responsibilities of this role and embracing VitalCare's guiding principles, you'll have the option for a hybrid work setup.
Salary: $80,000-$85,000
