Vitamix is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager who will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing the Vitamix manufacturing strategy while driving continuous improvement through cost effective systems and process in alignment with corporate goals and objectives to achieve a competitive advantage for the business. The Manager will evaluate and execute new strategies in areas related to optimization of manufacturing capabilities while reducing costs and improving on time delivery, quality and processes to our customers. The successful candidate will have prior experience overseeing manufacturing operations in a fast paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Establishes and implements department SOP’s to ensure the manufacturing of products in compliance with company goals and objectives. Ensures planned KPI’s of efficiency and performance are met or exceeded. Executes the manufacturing plan to deliver the business objectives (production volume, quality, safety).
- Supports the implementation of a LEAN culture by working closely with the Quality Manager to create an environment conducive to change and supportive of continuous improvement.
- Establishes and controls conditions of production in order to satisfy customer and quality specifications.
- Organizes and directs workflow for satisfying production requirement in a cost-efficient manner.
- Drives employee safety and morale by creating safe and efficient working environment. Ensures implementation and evolution of safety procedure.
- Establishes and maintains a standard of performance for the operation. Tracks competencies of subordinates and provides leadership and development as required to achieve the objectives. Conducts performance appraisals for department to ensure compliance with business objectives.
- Maintains proper employment levels through selecting, interviewing, and training of personnel.

- 5 years’ experience overseeing a manufacturing operations environment
