Job Title: Payroll Manager

Position Summary: The Payroll Manager is to oversee and manage our payroll operations. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, compliance with federal and state regulations, and maintaining payroll records. This role is critical to ensuring that our healthcare professionals are paid accurately and on time while adhering to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for all employees, including timekeeping, salary, bonuses, deductions, and adjustments. Ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, including wage and hour laws, tax withholding, and reporting requirements.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze payroll reports, including tax filings, earnings statements, and other financial reports. Prepare and submit necessary payroll tax reports and maintain accurate records.
- System Management: Maintain and update payroll software and systems. Troubleshoot and resolve payroll system issues and coordinate with IT for system upgrades and improvements.
- Employee Support: Address employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, including discrepancies, deductions, and tax matters. Provide guidance on payroll policies and procedures.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records, including employee data, timesheets, and other related documentation. Ensure all records are compliant with legal and company policies.
- Audit and Reconciliation: Conduct regular payroll audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance. Identify and resolve discrepancies in payroll processing.
- Collaboration: Work closely with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure smooth integration of payroll data with other business processes. Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes as related to payroll.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role, preferably in a healthcare or staffing agency setting.
- Strong knowledge of payroll practices, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with payroll software and systems. Experience with ADP is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
