voco Hotel Chicago & Holiday Inn Chicago Downtown is Hiring a Cook 5 Near Chicago, IL

As a Cook 5, you will fill a pivotal role in supporting your hotel’s goals through the daily operations of the kitchen food preparations for restaurants/outlets, employee cafeteria, and/or other areas of the Food and Beverage departments. You will prepare the highest quality of food products to exhibit outstanding taste and appearance to satisfy guests.

Responsibilities Include:

  • The full preparation, setup, and breakdown of the kitchen cold line cooking area as required for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner in order to meet the requests of the outlets in the preparation of the food.
  • The correct preparation and distribution of all cold food for the for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as required by the server’s ordering system, the Executive Chef, or the restaurant / marketplace manager.
  • The assistance to the Executive Chef, Sous Chefs, or other cooks, in the preparation of any food items as required.
  • Maintaining a clean and attractive work area, utensils, carts, and equipment before, during, and at the end of the shift.
  • Maintaining of proper sanitation and food safety procedures during the shift as required by the Illinois Department of Health, City of Chicago, Hostmark Hospitality Group, and the Executive Chef.
  • Other duties as assigned.
