Position Summary: The Kitchen Manager is responsible for purchasing, meal planning and preparation for 40 60 people per day for the Women's Residential Center. The Kitchen Manager occasionally prepares and delivers food for events offsite such as picnics, fundraisers and alumni/client events and activities.
Compensation: $20.14 - $23.49/hour (Depends on Experience and/or Certifications). This is a full-time position with excellent benefits! Benefits package includes medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, short and long-term disability insurance, 403(b) with automatic 5.5% contribution after 18-months regardless of employee participation, flexible spending account, employee assistance program, and other voluntary benefits and discounts. Generous paid time off plan includes 15 days in the first year, 23 days in the second year, 26 days in the third year, bereavement leave, jury duty leave, and nine paid holidays. VOA Oregon is also Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible.

Supervisory Responsibility: Position is responsible for supervising one part-time employee. Coordinates volunteer assistants.
Environmental Conditions: This job operates in a kitchen environment, housed with equipment such as an oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, coffee machine, steamer, mixer and chefs knives. The employee is frequently exposed to heat, steam, and noise.
Schedule: This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week with additional time needed on occasion for events.
