Position: Clinical Lead, LCSW, LPC
Reports to: Program Director
Starting Salary: $65,000
FLSA Status: Exempt
This is a hybrid remote position consisting of 75% remote work from home and 25% onsite in person.
Function:
The Clinical Lead is responsible for conducting behavioral health assessments to include timely and accurate clinical documentation, participation in the interdisciplinary team meetings, auditing records for clinical integrity, conducting training on clinical content for staff, and completing all administrative tasks necessary for successful billing of services.
Qualifications:
The position requires a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia with experience administering behavioral health assessments and billing for Georgia Medicaid. Must possess a valid GA driver’s license and continually meet the requirements for VOASE’s vehicle insurance company.
Principal Activities:
- Conduct Behavioral Health Assessments for those enrolled in the Housing Support Program.
- Request authorizations for services for the Housing Support Program.
- Manage claims for reimbursement of Housing Support to mitigate any denials.
- Provide referrals to local agencies to address needs presented in the assessment.
- Evaluate individual’s treatment plans; provide counseling and referrals to community resources and programs; assist individuals with skills to achieve recovery.
- Complete and maintain accurate records or reports regarding the individual’s progress, services provided, or other required information.
- Intervene as an advocate for individuals to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations. Intervene in crisis situations to assist veterans.
- Coordinate counseling efforts with mental health professionals or other health professionals, such as doctors, nurses, or social workers. Participate in case conferences or staff meetings and collaborate with other professionals to assess veteran’s needs.
- Participate in networking opportunities to enhance our resources for referring individuals to care in the community.
- Complete and maintain documentation in accordance with federal and state guidelines.
- Schedule and conduct screening, orientation, intake (and/or referral) services for new individuals. Assure that all applicable documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinate services with referral agencies to assist individuals what have specific (treatment) needs not addressed by the program.
- Establish (in cooperation with the multidisciplinary team) the treatment plan to include maintaining the treatment plan grid in the EHR.
- Report any special need, ineligibility for Housing Support services, and emergency that may arise to the Program Director.
- Coordinate/cooperate with the Program Director to assure that maintenance of complete and accurate individuals records are in compliance with DBHDD and CARF standards and guidelines.
- Participate in chart auditing and curriculum development for staff with the assistance of the Program Director.
- Assist Housing Support Supervisors in clinical documentation training for staff who require additional guidance.
- Maintain Certification and participate in on-going training.
