GENERAL FUNCTION:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Cold Weather Shelter Van Driver to assist in providing essential transportation services to individuals experiencing homelessness during cold weather conditions. This role involves safely transporting clients to and from our cold weather shelter, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. This position transports clients from Lynnwood City Hall, James Village, and by the Bank of America on Hwy 99 and 173rd street to Maple Park Church. These locations may be subject to change.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:
- Pick up individuals from designated locations during evening hours and transport them to the cold weather shelter.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers during transit.
- Maintain a positive and respectful interaction with clients, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Transport clients back to designated drop-off points in the morning.
- Adhere to a consistent schedule to ensure timely arrivals.
- Report any mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Document any incidents or concerns that arise during transportation.
- Work closely with shelter site staff and van greeter to coordinate transportation needs and address any issues that may arise.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Experience driving vans or larger vehicles preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage positively with diverse populations.
- Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in potentially challenging situations.
- Basic knowledge of local streets and routes is preferred.
- Be willing to be agency-driver trained to transport clients.
Salary : $22 - $23
