Install Architect
Custom Residential Casework

Department: Install Operations

Reports To: Head of Install Operations

Location: Denver, Colorado

Position Overview

The Install Architect will play a key role in overseeing and supporting the installation of complex custom casework projects, ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship, quality, and efficiency. This role requires in-depth technical expertise across all phases of the Vonmod process—from materials to installation techniques—along with the ability to train and mentor a team of Install Leads, Technicians, and Assistants.

The Install Architect will work to remove obstacles from Install Leads and serve as consultant, working closely with the Project Management team to align on schedules, scope, and product design. This position may also be called upon to perform as an Install Lead when necessary.

Core Functions and Responsibilities

• Install Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing coaching to Install Leads, Technicians, and Assistants on best practices, technical procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Offer technical guidance to the installation team, ensuring adherence to Vonmod's high standards for craftsmanship and project specifications.
  • Monitor the performance of the installation team, ensuring compliance with company processes, timelines, and quality expectations.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to installations, escalating concerns as needed to the Head of Install or relevant management.
  • Perform final measure of job sites for production and review for potential challenges or impediments, and proactively report on conditions that may affect the successful completion of projects.
    
    
    
• Project Manager Consultation:
  • Collaborate with the Project Management team to ensure the installation phase aligns with overall project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Provide strategic input into installation planning, helping define and refine timelines, resources, and potential hurdles.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and designers to ensure the final product design is optimized for installation, providing feedback on product features and installation processes that may affect feasibility or efficiency.
    
    
    

• Install Lead

• • Depending on project load and team capacity, serve as an Install Lead on select projects.
  • Perform Install Lead responsibilities as required for Install Leads who lack capacity in certain skills or to cover for an Install Lead who is overloaded or on PTO/Sick Time

Qualifications 

• 5 years in high-end residential casework or custom cabinetry installation
• In-depth understanding of casework installation techniques, tools, materials, and design constraints.
• Experience working on complex projects, coordinating installation schedules, and ensuring alignment with overall project timelines and goals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions, feedback, and technical guidance.
• Ability to quickly assess installation challenges and offer practical, efficient solutions.
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring that all installations meet or exceed Vonmod's quality standards.
• Ability to work on job sites, including some lifting and manual labor associated with high-end residential installations.
