Install Lead
Custom Residential Casework


Department: Install Operations

Reports To: Head of Install Operations 

Location: Denver, Colorado

Position Overview


The Install Lead at Vonmod will be responsible for managing and installing high-profile custom casework, with a focus on residential projects. This role requires a blend of management, organizational, and technical skills to ensure that projects are installed to the highest quality standards, while adhering to Vonmod's operational and cultural values. The Install Lead will coordinate with the Project Managers, Install Team, and Contractors, and will play a pivotal role in taking Vonmod’s custom casework through final onsite completion.


Core Functions and Responsibilities

  • Project Installation:
    • Manage and coordinate the entire installation process, ensuring that it is executed according to company standards, client expectation, and within planned time frame
    • Install casework, appliance panels, panel walls, and other casework components, ensuring accurate measurements and precise fitting
    • Skillfully scribe panels, fillers, and other elements to seamlessly integrate casework into walls and floors
    • Perform final adjustments and tune ups
    • Monitor the assigned install vehicle inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, maintaining a well-stocked install vehicle in accordance with Vonmod standards.
  • PM, GC, & Tech Communications:
    • Collaborate with GCs and project managers to ensure clear communication and understanding of project requirements
    • Keep onsite GC/super informed of progress, impediments, and schedule
    • Provide daily reports on project slack channel with photos and descriptions of progress
    • Keep Project Manager informed of progress, delays, impediments, and GC communications
    • Train and supervise Install Technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and high-quality work
    • Communicate daily gameplan and schedule with install technicians
    • Maintain digital punch lists daily
    • Provide feedback to Studio and Production teams when design and/or production could have made the installation smoother



  • Onsite Quality:
    • Conduct on-site inspections to ensure that installations are completed accurately and meet quality standards 
    • Address warranty issues and service calls solo


  • Onsite Safety:
    • Uphold a strong commitment to workplace safety, ensuring that all installation activities follow established safety guidelines
    • Ensure cleanliness of jobsite during and after installation

Qualifications

  • 5 years of on-site construction work
  • 2 years of cabinetry installation (can be a part of the above 5 years of experience)
  • Proficiency in reading architectural drawings
  • Proficient Vonmod Install Technician
  • Strong knowledge of the Residential Construction process
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and proficient in various communication methods.
  • Drivers license in good standing 


Specialized Tools

  • Tracksaw, Laser Level, Standard Woodworking Hand/Power tools

Work Environment

  • Approximately 85% of time will be on project sites across the front range and select mountain communities
  • A majority of our project sites are between Englewood and Boulder
  • Approximately /- 20% of our project sites are considered out of town. These include but are not limited to Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Winter Park, Vail, and Aspen.  Out of town installations will be overnight stays which will only be during the week, including comfortable lodging, and per diem.  We strategically plan out of town Install Lead assignments around personal commitments and rotation of Install Leads.
  • This role requires frequent lifting of heavy objects (tools, cabinetry, panels, etc)
  • Transportation from Vonmod to job sites will be provided
