W.M. Schlosser is currently seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join its fast-growing company. Based in Hyattsville, Maryland, we excel at performing mechanical contracting projects for the Local, State, and Federal Government with project throughout Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia.
Applicants should have estimating experience with plumbing and/or HVAC systems. Field experience a plus, but not necessary. A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and On-Screen Takeoff is a must. Some of our projects might require clearance for pre-bid meetings and job-site visits. Candidates must reside in the Washington, DC Metro Area. This is a remote position. Occasionally, onsite pre-bid meetings and job site visits are required. Applicant must have a stable internet connection and a quiet work environment.

The duties and responsibilities of the Mechanical Estimator will be:
- Manages company Bid Board
- Keeps organized records of all projects
- Read, understand, reviews and interprets bid documents including but not limited to drawings, plans, specifications, scopes of work, etc.
- Prepares computerized material take-offs and labor estimates
- Solicits vendors and subcontractors for quotes
- Works closely with Design Engineers on design/build projects
- Works closely with the pre-construction team for subcontract awards
- All other duties as assigned
Annual salary, dependent on qualifications and experience
