A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A WINDOW INSTALLER ASSISTANT
As an entry-level apprentice on our team, you play an important role in the successful completion of various glass and window jobs. Each day, you help load trucks with the necessary equipment and materials. To keep our trucks and warehouse fully stocked, you request a list of required materials and supplies.
Working in a small team, you support our experienced technicians out in the field. As you assist them, they teach you how to properly install glass. You also help with the disposal of old windows and glass. To maintain a clean environment you sweep, clean, and organize materials. As needed, you help out with tasks in the warehouse and perform other duties as assigned. While communicating with managers, employees, and clients, you speak clearly and effectively. You enjoy advancing in this apprenticeship and garnering the knowledge needed to work on your own !
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A WINDOW INSTALLER ASSISTANT
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
- Basic knowledge about software, including Microsoft Outlook and Time Traxs
- Ability to learn the required customer service and safety expectations of our company
A college degree is preferred but not required. Can you represent our company in a professional manner? Are you able to effectively work independently and as part of a group? Do you take constructive feedback well? Can you maintain a friendly and cooperative demeanor while interacting with others? WORK SCHEDULE FOR A WINDOW INSTALLER ASSISTANT
This entry-level apprenticeship position works full-time, Monday-Friday from 8 am-5 pm with occasional Saturdays .
