We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Product Management team. This individual will play a crucial role in driving the product and feature roadmap for Waites hardware, software, and services. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of product management experience in a technology or industrial product line. It is very helpful to have at least 3 years experience working directly at a manufacturing plant, process plant, or similar industrial environment.

We are a leading provider of wireless, mesh-networked, "Internet of Things" (IoT) sensors for
industrial environments. Our cost-effective, plug-and-play products empower plants of all sizes to conduct predictive and preventative maintenance on mission-critical and secondary equipment in order to maximize uptime. (I.e. We help with things like getting your Prime packages to you faster!)
Reports to: Chief Product Officer
Location: Cincinnati metro area or willingness to relocate strongly preferred. Remote location can be considered for a highly qualified candidate.
Office Location: Queens Gate area of Cincinnati, OH.
Onsite Requirements: Onsite primary for daily duties, with remote flexibility as needed
Travel: Travel will average 25-35%, primarily to customer sites or trade shows. You will have a reasonable level of autonomy to schedule travel in a way that works best for you.
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. **Sponsorship is not available at this time**
Exemption Status: Exempt

Job Description

Core Responsibilities
- Product Strategy and Roadmap
- Develop and own the product roadmap, balancing long-term vision with short term priorities.
- Conduct customer research, market research, and competitor analysis to identify opportunities.
- Define and prioritize product features and improvements across Waites’ hardware, software, and services.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- This role requires you to collaborate with many internal and external partners. You will need to understand their needs/priorities, many of which will conflict, and to chart a path forward that best serves the customer and aligns with our strategy.
- The most important partner is the Waites customer. You will need to clearly understand their needs, and champion them within the Waites’ organization.
- Internal partners include Engineering, Operations, Sales, Customer Support, and Finance.
- In addition to our customers, external partners can include Channel Partners, OEM Partners, System Integrators, Test Labs, and Suppliers.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a product manager of a highly technical or industrial product line is required.
- 3 years' experience working directly at a manufacturing plant, process plant, or similar industrial environment is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a similar technical field is required. MBA is a plus.
- Knowledge of design, operation, and/or maintenance of industrial machinery such as motors, pumps, compressors, HVAC Systems, etc., is strongly preferred.
- Understanding of industrial instrumentation & control systems, Industrial IoT communication systems, and the distinctions / interactions between them is very helpful.
- Understanding of, or certification in, predictive maintenance technologies is very helpful. These can include Vibration, Thermography, Oil Analysis, Ultrasonics, Motor Current Signature Analysis, and Motion Amplification.
- Ability to move fast and manage multiple priorities. Waites is renowned for moving faster and delivering more than our competitors.
- High intellect and strong analytical skills.
