Rough Mill Team Leader

We are seeking a Rough Mill Team Leader to oversee and guide a team of approximately 12 members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This leadership role involves coordinating daily operations, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and driving efficiency in our rough mill department.

• Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of 12 employees to meet production goals and maintain high-quality standards.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols.
• Oversee lumber processing and ensure proper grading and optimization of materials.
• Coordinate with other departments to streamline workflows and meet production deadlines.
• Conduct training and development for team members to enhance their skills and performance.
• Track and report key performance metrics, including production output, downtime, and quality benchmarks.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in a rough mill or similar environment.
• NHLA Certification or familiarity with NHLA rules is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of lumber grading and its applications in manufacturing.
• Proven experience leading and managing a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday with occasional overtime as needed.

While performing duties on the production floor, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the production work environment can be loud.
