JOB OVERVIEW
Warwick is seeking an experienced Geological Technician or Analyst to add to the Cross-Basin Subsurface team. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain Warwick geological databases to support geologists in field optimization, asset development, and acquisition and divestiture evaluations. We are targeting candidates with a passion for integrating high quality subsurface data to make data informed development decisions. The individual in this role will work with all members of our fully integrated team including Engineering, Operations, GIS, Data Science, Land, Accounting, and Investments.
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES
- Maintain all Geographix project databases to a high level of currency and data accuracy
- Work cross functionally to ensure geology data consumed by other departments is current, accurate, and is appropriately applied for the use
- Collaborate with Geology, Engineering, and Land on technical review and type curve maintenance / updates for future inventory
- Monitor and maintain vendor data contracts that include, but are not limited to, well data, seismic, production, logs, and landgrid
- Proactively identify data needs for the Geology department
- Collaborate with the IT department and Align Support to handle system troubleshooting and offer level 1 support within the Geology department
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree required
- 5 years of multi-basin geological technician or analyst experience, preferred both operated and non-operated environments
- Experienced in Geographix, ArcGIS, Spotfire, and Enerdeq/Enverus
- Experience in Kingdom, Petra, Qgis, FME, LasWorX, and PowerBI is a plus
- Strong data management skills
- Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to problems
- Ability to manage multiple projects/initiatives at once and operate in a fast-paced environment
- Must have demonstrated experience working with multidisciplinary teams with a proven record as a strong team player
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals across disciplines
- Highly motivated self-starter with the aptitude to innovate and be open to new ideas
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and progress projects in ambiguous situations
