What are the responsibilities and job description for the Key Account Manager (Inside Sales Support) position at Warwick Publishing?
Warwick Publishing Company, a leading print and promotional product supplier based in St Charles, IL, has an immediate opening for a confident, ambitious, and results-driven internal sales associate. This candidate will work as an inside Key Account Manager who will actively manage and grow printed promotional product sales with existing customers of Warwick. The ideal candidate will hunt for new business with existing clients by understanding their needs and matching Warwick’s capabilities to those needs on a regular basis.
This position requires a background in promotional product sales or commercial print sales, with either being equally weighted/preferred.
Main Responsibilities:
Existing Customer Development: Conduct daily sales calls, emails, webinars, and product meetings to grow key existing accounts in Warwick’s existing book of business, including but not limited to:
- Offer product ideas to customers regarding specific projects
- Introduce new products to targeted segments
- Work with Warwick's design team to quote large orders and specialty projects
- Follow-up on historical large orders, large quote requests, and specialty project quotes
- Conduct warm calling to engage potential clients and expand the customer base.
- Coordinate Catalog and Sample Programs, both physical and virtual in nature
- Conduct Quarterly Business reviews with key accounts
Support External Sales Team:
- Coordinate pre-show communications, prospecting, and internal preparation prior to External Sales Team members exhibiting at a trade show or conducting an on-site visit.
- Follow-up on external leads identified by External Sales Team members from trade shows and on-site visits
Light Travel:
- Participate in trade shows and prospect visits as required, less than 10% of total time.
Other:
- This position may assist the company with other tasks not listed above in support of growing sales.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and team members
- Experience in outbound calling is required
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- 2-5 years of sales experience within the promotional products industry or in the commercial print industry, with references
Supervisory Responsibility
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities
- This position reports to the National Sales Manager
Position Type
This is a full-time, in-person position. Expected regular days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 7:30am to 4:30pm, and 7:30am to 2:00pm on Fridays.
