JOB SUMMARY:

The Project Manager for Wasatch Fab and Machine plays a critical role in providing a positive customer experience by keeping production flowing as efficiently as possible while maintaining the highest quality standard. They are the face of our company to our valued customers who rely on our services to keep running. This position requires local customer travel and travel between Ogden and Salt Lake facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as a primary contact for customers – always communicating professionally and promptly. Good communication is what will differentiate our business from others.
• Manage customer orders from order entry to delivery, ensuring that all required documentation is completed and attached to each order (including meeting AS9100D requirements)
• Serve as a member of the MRB Board to ensure proper identification and disposition of non-conforming parts.
• Assist estimators with preparation of quotes when needed.
• Build and manage a schedule for customer orders and assist Operations team in shepherding the projects through the production process to ensure on-time delivery.
• Work directly with vendor partners to assist in obtaining quotes for customer projects, issuing purchase orders, tracking progress and following up as needed.
• Coordinate with shipping staff to ensure projects are where they need to be, when they need to be there.
• Always look for opportunities to utilize technology to improve the customer experience.
• Be a champion of continuous improvement – finding ways to personally improve everyday and helping others learn the principles of continuous improvement.
• Be an active participant in building a culture of excellence.
• Actively work with Operations team to identify and implement improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Understanding of metal fabrication, machining and welding
• 3 years experience working in a manufacturing services environment, preferably as a Project Manager with demonstrated growth and positive outcomes
• Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Business Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
• Demonstrated experience of outstanding customer service, communication and attentiveness
• Able to read and interpret drawings and 3D models
• Able to confidently carry on a technical conversation about manufactured parts and products
• Strong skill in using ERP and CRM systems
