Position Summary
The primary role of the Strategic Planning Director is to lead and / or manage strategic planning activities and any associated projects as directed by the Chief of Strategic Management.
Major responsibilities include :
- Identifying and evaluating trends in health care.
- Assisting with the implementation and monitoring of strategic plans.
- Managing key strategic affiliations and alliances.
- Developing and implementing strategic initiatives and new programs.
Under the direction of the Chief of Strategic Management, the Strategic Planning Director will :
Develop and oversee strategy related market intelligence information.Assess and utilize available market data to evaluate market dynamics.Formulate plans to obtain and assess strategic information on competitors.Develop, monitor, and share trends in patient demographics and care preferences.Develop new business and health care services opportunities.Lead and / or manage projects and provide analytical support for strategic initiatives.The Strategic Planning Director may be responsible for other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education :
Required : Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.Desired : Master's degree in Hospital / Healthcare Administration and / or Business Administration.Work Experience :
Required : Minimum of 5 years of experience in health care / hospital administration.Desired : Successful record of project development and management experience.Skills / Abilities :
Strong conceptual, verbal, and written skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Highly skilled with data / analytic tools including Microsoft Office Suite.Essential Job Responsibilities
