Staff Accountant

Principal Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supporting the month end close preparing journal entries

• Assisting with SG&A variance analysis

• Inventory analysis to determine the cause of book to physical variances

• Ensuring completeness and accuracy of assigned monthly account reconciliations

• Maintaining existing process documents and creating new process documents

• Prepare various schedules for the external financial statement auditors and coordinate and review all branch-specific sample selections

• Research sales tax-related questions within region.

• Prepare various schedules for the corporate tax return

• Diligently work toward the completion of special projects, requests, and assignments
• Must abide by all company policies as contained in the company employee handbook.

Salary: $50,000-$55,000

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting

• Must have Intermediate Excel skills and be proficient in using other Microsoft Office products

• The position is located at the corporate office in Lombard, Illinois or Rosemount, Illinois with remote option of 2 days per week

• Must be able to work efficiently and independently

• Able to clearly communicate information using e-mails, memos, presentations, on conference calls, and in-person

• Ensures a positive attitude and team orientation is exhibited in verbal and non-verbal communication.
