What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool Room Machinist position at Watteredge LLC?
This position will support manufacturing operations. The tool room machinist will be responsible for building and repairing fixtures, dies, and tooling used to manufacture or qualify products. This position requires a high degree of understanding of manufacturing principles and design.

Essential Functions
- Set up, program, and operate various toolroom equipment, including CNC lathes, mills, grinders, etc., to produce dies, fixtures, and tooling.
- Design, build, rework, maintain, and repair all forms of tooling using available equipment and resources.
- Ability to work from design prints, sketches, sample parts, and oral instructions to validate all fabricated parts and items.
- Ability to use inspection measurement equipment standards in tool making.
- Maintain accurate documentation of tool modifications, repairs, and maintenance of fixtures, tools, and dies.
- Determining the best method to produce results efficiently and timely to meet deadlines.
- Can work independently and in a team environment, communicating and collaborating with various departments.
- Ensure safety requirements are met and followed
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow blueprint specifications.
- Knowledge of CNC lathes and mills, including programming.
- Ability to MIG and TIG weld preferred.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Computer knowledge using MS products.
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and temperate variations
- Required to stand, sit, climb, or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Successfully Complete an accredited tool and die apprenticeship or postsecondary machine program.
- Five or more years of experience as a tool and die maker or tooling machinist.
