Description
Reporting to the Head of Clinical Development, the Global Clinical Lead is a newly created position that will work within the Neuromuscular TA and closely work with our DMD and HD programs. In this role, you will operate independently, leveraging extensive expertise and in-depth knowledge of clinical research to design, oversee, and deliver the results of clinical trials and programs. This role entails leading global clinical research initiatives and registration activities across one or more clinical programs. As a key leadership position, the global clinical lead serves as the single point of accountability for clinical development strategy, program oversight, and the execution of multiple early-stage assets.
Experience
- 8-10 years of industry experience in drug development including experience in early and late phase drug development and regulatory knowledge
- M.D. with a focus in Neurology or Cardio Metabolism, preferred
- Proven experience overseeing late-stage neuro programs at biotechnology company
Responsibilities
- Has comprehensive knowledge of organizational, regulatory, and vendor-related issues, allowing them to propose improvements for products, processes, and services
- Leads complex, high risk global strategic programs or projects and is capable of developing the strategy for successful execution
- Addresses unique and strategic challenges with significant impact on Wave's clinical development, requiring innovative and conceptual thinking to create effective solutions
- Proven ability to effectively communicate complex ideas, anticipate potential objections, and influences senior leaders to consider and adopt alternative perspectives
- Develops strategic and cohesive clinical development plans that align with business objectives
- Lead the overall development of project strategy and be accountable for project plans, timelines, progress, and outcomes
- Proven success in fostering and leading cross-functional collaborations both internally and externally
- Demonstrated organizational and project management skills
- Foster strong working relationships with opinion leaders in the field

- Strong track record of overseeing patient care and data integrity to develop safe, effective treatments
- Ability to manage clinical development teams, design and deliver clinical trials, and ensure the quality and timeliness of projects
