This 1st shift full time position is responsible for customer service questions on accounts. The position comes with an expectation of dress, appearance and presentation that is a positive representation of WHC. Effective communication skills are key. The position reports to the Director of Patient Financial Services.

- High School graduate or equivalent, business courses helpful
- Work experience in a Patient Accounts or Financial Accounts department.
- Computer and/or date entry experience
- Excellent telephone skills/good public communication experience in a customer service position.
- Knowledge of common office machines
- Good organizational skills
- Excellent public relation skills
- Understanding of banking process
- Understanding of registration and billing process
- Typing 60 wpm
- Handles incoming calls in regards to customer service questions on accounts
- Assist customers directly on accounts with any concerns/complaints/resolution and questions - incoming calls and at the cashier window
- Ability to initiate financial discussions with our patients and obtain commitment or other appropriate course of action
- Performs collections, term arrangements, payroll deductions and joining of accounts
- Back up cashier office and Financial Concierge
- Assist customer and vendor accounts regarding collections
- Prepares and returns legal request
- Works with Billing Department on customer accounts
- Maintain pleasant approach while under stress
