Position Overview
As an Inside Sales and/or Customer Service Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, providing outstanding service and support to ensure their needs are met and issues are resolved promptly. In addition to handling inquiries and resolving concerns, you will also have a sales component to your role, where you will proactively identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell our products/services to existing customers as well as assist the outside sales teams.
Essential Job Functions
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers via phone, email, and live chat, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing product/service information.
- Build strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs and offering personalized solutions.
- Utilize consultative selling techniques to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities based on customer preferences and purchasing history.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and objectives by effectively promoting and selling additional products/services.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and sales activities in the CRM system.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop sales strategies, promotional campaigns, and product knowledge resources.
- Continuously stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor offerings to enhance sales effectiveness.
- Provide feedback to the management, sales and marketing teams based on customer insights and market feedback.
Requirements/Skills/Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in sales and customer service roles, with a minimum of 3 years of combined experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to actively listen to customer needs and effectively communicate product benefits.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Positive attitude, resilience, and a willingness to learn and adapt to changing business needs.
- Knowledge of plumbing, trades and/or wholesale business is a plus.
