Western New York mid-sized law firm is looking for a paralegal for our litigation department. We are looking to add to our team and seek someone to join and support our personal injury, civil rights, and commercial litigation practice groups. The ideal candidate should be ambitious, hardworking, dependable, and have excellent organizational skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Prepare Pleadings (Summons and complaint)
· Document Management
· Discovery (Prepare and work with clients to obtain responsive materials)
· Motions/Appeals (Prepare affidavits, Notices of Motion)
· Management of Medical Records (Collect medical, billing, no fault, worker’s compensation, social security, Medicare, Medicaid and prepare authorizations)
· Identify potential experts (Coordinate production of materials for experts)
· Legal/factual research (Westlaw)
· Case/File Management (Interact with clients, prepare budgets, and maintain files)
· Depositions (Prepare deposition exhibits)
· Pre-Trial/Trial Support (Prepare trial notebook, schedule, research jurors, prepare subpoenas)

Qualifications
- Proficient in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Strong organizational and document management skills
- Experience in personal injury and workers compensation law
- Solid legal administrative experience with a focus on litigation
- Excellent writing and proofreading abilities
- Familiarity with legal case management and document review processes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $67,500.00 per year
