2nd Shift - 1 PM Start

Purpose of Role: The oven operator is responsible for heat treating castings in large ovens. The job functions include making up oven loads, charging the ovens, maintaining heat treat records, visual inspection of castings, setting oven controllers and oven maintenance. The operator must be familiar with the different alloys produced and organize oven loads according to alloy and similar section size. The ability to read flow charts and MII’s Work instructions is essential; the operator must insure the correct process is followed for each oven load.
