When you join our team as a maintenance technician, you'll be part of a team who are committed to supporting our staff in their work of serving seniors and their families at the Saginaw Senior Living Campus. In this position, you'll bring a high school diploma. You will also bring experience in any mechanical, electrical or maintenance related experience; at least two years of prior maintenance experience is preferred. You will also bring a working knowledge of using computers and a willingness to learn the software for work orders.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will :
- Must organize workload and prioritize work orders to provide repairs to not interrupt daily activity needs and complete work orders to maintain the appearance and functions of the facility.
- Operate small electrical tools, lawn mowers, rototillers, edger's, etc.
- Interior and exterior painting
- Perform duties in accordance with established methods and techniques in conformance with recognized standards as well as federal / state rules and regulations.
- Knowledgeable of and able to carry out expected procedures during all types of disasters and drills.
- Maintain the preventative maintenance program as established by supervisor
- Is available to assist other staff as may be necessary to provide a service in emergency situations
- Maintain water, heating and sewage systems as required
- Assist in maintaining security of grounds and buildings
