SCHEDULE
14 / 14 hitch rotation, 12-hour days
JOB OVERVIEW – Offshore Paramedic- This role will be providing primary and emergency medical care to personnel working on offshore. This person will be administering advanced life support, managing medical emergencies, and maintaining thorough patient records, all while adhering to strict safety protocols and offshore regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Patient Assessment and Treatment : Performing comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosing medical conditions, and initiating appropriate medical interventions like advanced airway management, medication administration, and wound care, based on established protocols and standing orders.
- Emergency Response : Responding to emergency situations on the platform, including trauma, cardiac emergencies, respiratory distress, and medical emergencies, providing immediate life-saving interventions.
- Medical Documentation : Maintaining detailed patient records, including medical history, assessments, interventions, and medications administered, following proper documentation procedures.
- Clinic Management : Overseeing the operation of the offshore medical clinic, ensuring proper inventory management of medical supplies and equipment.
- Health Promotion and Prevention : Conducting health screenings, providing health education, and promoting preventative measures to offshore workers.
- Communication and Collaboration : Maintaining effective communication with the offshore platform crew, medical control, and other healthcare providers onshore, coordinating patient transfers when necessary.
- Logistics and Administration : Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment. Prepare and submit regular reports on health incidents, medical supplies, and safety concerns. Manage medical evacuations and assist in coordinating logistics for any necessary transportation.
