What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler (Afternoon Shift) position at West Side Beer Distributing?
West Side Beer Distributing is a local beverage company who is seeking a full time Warehouse Order Picker. The hours for this position would be Monday thru Thursday from 4:00 p.m. - approximately 2:00 a.m. or until completed. The pay rate starts at $19.25 an hour up to $23.00 with incentives.
POSITION SUMMARY
Duties consist of assembling pallets with product to be loaded on route trucks in proper rotation as requested by warehouse management system. Responsible for adhering to company policies, procedures and supplier agreements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Using RF handheld to get pick locations to assemble products on a pallet
- physical labor position, constantly moving from pick locations
- Follow FIFO inventory system when loading all products.
- Responsible for keeping company equipment clean and reporting any maintenance issues to your supervisor.
- Assemble product onto pallets accurately.
- Rotate product according to supplier agreement.
- Handle and move product in a safe manner to prevent any product breakage or damage.
- Responsible for any on-going training.
- Follow directives from supervisors.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education : High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience : One to two years related experience
Computer Skills : Proficient with basic computer skills.

Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver’s License
Other Requirements
Must pass physical, drug screen, background check and motor vehicle report
