We are seeking License Eligible Clinicians for our School Counseling Intervention Program (SCIP)
Franklin, VA
**Substance Abuse, Mental Health, or ID/DD experience is preferred for this position. **
Responsibilities and Duties for LE Clinician:
- Completion and review of comprehensive diagnostic assessments and ISP's; determination of medical necessity and eligibility for services;
- Participation in chart reviews and documentation compliance oversight as authorized by the Program Supervisor;
- Maintaining documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations and agency policy.
Additional Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Clinical Services:

- Conduct individual, group therapy sessions to address emotional and behavioral issues in students.
- Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment when needed.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals based on each student's needs.
- Case Management and Collaboration:

- Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, administrators, and other school personnel to support student mental health and well-being.
- Act as a liaison between the school, students' families, and community resources to coordinate services and provide referrals as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and evaluate individualized education plans (IEPs) and other school-based supports.
- Documentation and Compliance:

- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including intake assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, following legal and ethical standards.
- Adhere to confidentiality, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements to protect student privacy.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Prevention and Education:

- Provide psychoeducation to students, families, and school staff on topics like emotional regulation, coping skills, mental health awareness, and substance abuse prevention.
- Assist agency Prevention team with developing and implementing preventive mental health programs or workshops for students, teachers, and parents as needed.
- Professional Development and Team Involvement:

- Attend regular supervision, staff meetings, and training sessions to maintain professional competencies.
- Stay updated on best practices, research, and trends in child and adolescent mental health.
Qualifications and Skills for LE Clinician:
- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related Human Services field required;
- Eligibility to work toward licensure (LPC or LCSW) upon approval by the respective Board;
- A minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in a human services field preferable;
- Experience in a mental health setting preferable;
- Valid current driver’s license and acceptable DMV record
