Description

Position Overview

Responsible for providing support in functional areas of the Human Resources and Safety Department.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment by complying with all company procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Perform pre-employment drug testing and background checks for potential new employees.
  • Keep records as it relates to personnel changes
  • I-9 audit and filing of new hires and terminations
  • Record attendance
  • Review, scan, file, and create work orders for forklift/pallet jack inspections.
  • Respond to employee inquiries, assist by communicating policies, guidelines and processes to aid in solving problems.
  • Represent WPM in a professional manner at job and career fairs.
  • Work as a team player with all groups within the facility.
  • Perform weekly locker audits and document findings.
  • Conduct weekly walkthroughs of the plant and write up any safety orders related to hazards.
  • Translate safety programs and documents as needed.
  • Assist compliance department with SOP’s.
  • Type up Deviation Reports.
  • Create and update WPM monthly newsletter.
  • Order and restock PPE.

  • Bilingual
  • Legible handwriting
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Able to build relationships with employees and outside vendors
  • Ability to work with confidential information, maintain confidentiality with respect to personal information.
  • Ensure accuracy in projects, proofreading skills and practices great attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Duties are performed under the general guidance of the HR Manager.
