Administrative Assistant/Front Office Receptionist at Westminster Presbyterian Church - Lubbock, TX

Are you comfortable working in an environment where you have your own responsibilities yet must receive/screen guests, respond to requests for assistance, answer questions, answer the telephone and direct messages?

Do you enjoy working with Print Media, Calendars, Scheduling Events, Data Bases and interacting with outside Vendors?

You will be asked to:

• Serve as the Church Receptionist
• Provide Administrative Support to the Senior Pastor
• Serve as the Church Membership Clerk managing the Church Database
• Maintain an active church calendar
• Coordinate and schedule volunteers for various services and events
• Assist with preparations for baptisms, communion, the welcoming of new members, and congregational meals/gatherings
• Maintain Month Sunday School Attendance
• Assist in all other administrative duties as needed

What you need:

• High School Degree [College Education is preferred]
• Computer expertise including Microsoft 365, Excel, Word, Publisher, Power Point, Google Docs/Sheets
• Capacity to learn Automated Church Systems
• Familiarity with General Office Procedures and Equipment
• Ability to work with a variety of internal and external constituencies
• A team player that can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other associates within a collegial, yet demanding work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
