Key Responsibilities:
The Shipping & Receiving Associate will be responsible for receiving and filling customer orders to be shipped as well as verify inventory and visually inspect shipments for quality.
This role will be based out of our Los Angeles office. The Shipping & Receiving Associate will oversee all operational functions including shipping and receiving. This person is a forward thinker with hands-on leadership style.
Responsibilities:
- Reads and follows computerized work orders to determine quantities and types of products to be shipped
- Identifies products requested in work orders through reading and interpreting, and locates requested items in warehouse
- Changes over pallets for picking, visually inspects items for damages or flaws; documents and reports damages to supervisors or leads
- Use a forklift to move materials from various departments and to store items on warehouse shelfs
- Packs, seals and labels materials/pallets for shipping
- Prepares and brings orders to the post office
- Helps other warehouse personnel at end of shift with putting away/organizing warehouse
Qualifications:
- 3 year(s) of experience in a warehouse environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to read and speak English
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to drive and operate a forklift
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
