What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Lunch/Recess Supervisor position at Wheatland J1 School District?
This position is temporary. The estimated timeframe is December 19th, 2024 to February 14th, 2025. Our lunch/recess supervisors are responsible for providing assistance and supervision to students during recess/lunch to ensure a positive and safe environment. Main responsibilities include:
- Supervise students at lunchtime and/or recess and maintain a pleasant atmosphere by encouraging peaceful resolution of conflicts.
- Direct movements of students to and from playground, lunchroom and classrooms in a safe and organized manner.
- Maintain safe and positive environment at all times.
- Assist staff in lunch room clean up.
The position has the potential to be expanded dependent upon student need. About Wheatland: The Wheatland J1 School District is a pre K-8 school district with approximately 115 employees, and 650 students. The district covers over 30 square miles and incorporates 4 municipalities. - Interact and communicate positively and effectively with all students.
- Provide behavior management and conflict resolution.
- Be able to work as a team member and collaboratively with others.
- Demonstrate patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
