Maintenance Technician

Summary
As a Maintenance Technician, you will work closely with our Facilities and Maintenance Manager and team of custodians to provide services for a vibrant congregation with a large campus and significant number of events taking place.

This position will be primarily Friday-Monday, 4-6 hour shifts. Join our team and be a vital part of our church operations.

Duties include:

• Complete routine and emergency repairs to equipment, fixtures, fittings and building systems. Respond to reports of broken or faulty items, conduct routine inspections of buildings and serve as liaison with external specialists and contractors.
• Inspect machinery, equipment, buildings and systems, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
• Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing, including specialist cleaning of delicate or high-value items such as entry systems, security equipment, lifts and elevators
• Complete small repairs such as fixing locks, leaks and broken windows
• Check and maintain safety equipment such as fire alarms, fire extinguishers and carbon monoxide detectors
• Perform grounds maintenance such as blowing leaves, trimming bushes and small trees and replacing exterior light bulbs
• Inspect and troubleshoot work orders submitted by staff
• Maintaining vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform the role effectively
• Following a maintenance schedule to ensure that all routine tasks are completed
• Set up tables and chairs for church campus events
• Remove trash and clean areas around campus between events (this may include light and deep cleaning)
• Reports to Facilities and Maintenance Manager and works on a team with custodians

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 29 per week
