Job Summary
The Medical Equipment Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that medical equipment is delivered, set up, and maintained for healthcare facilities and patients. This position involves driving to various locations, providing excellent customer service, and managing the logistics of medical equipment handling. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse operations and route driving, as well as the ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
Duties
- Drive a van or box truck to deliver medical equipment to hospitals, clinics, and patients' homes.
- Load and unload medical equipment safely using a pallet jack and other tools.
- Ensure all equipment is in proper working condition before delivery.
- Provide setup assistance for medical devices at delivery locations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and inventory management.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and clients to ensure satisfaction.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while handling equipment and driving.
Skills
- Valid driver's license with experience in route driving and operating manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients and healthcare staff.
- Experience in warehouse operations, including loading and unloading freight.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with courier services or logistics management is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage delivery schedules and inventory.
- Strong attention to detail when handling medical equipment.
