Airboat Deckmate

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Airboat Deckmate to join our team. As an Airboat Deckmate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests while navigating the beautiful waterways. This position requires a strong commitment to teamwork, customer service, and an appreciation for the unique environment in which we operate.

Responsibilities

• Assist the captain in operating the airboat safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all safety equipment is in place and operational before each trip.
• Help passengers board and disembark from the airboat safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the airboat before, during, and after trips.
• Monitor weather conditions and report any concerns to the captain.
• Assist with any necessary maintenance tasks on the airboat as directed.

Skills

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of boating operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward collaboration.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in varying weather conditions.
• A passion for nature and wildlife conservation is highly desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
