EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Flexographic Printing Press Operator or other equivalent work experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
In summary, the position will require lifting up to ninety (90) pounds with frequent lifting and/or moving of objects up to sixty (75) pounds and occasional maneuvering of objects over 100 lbs. Requires use of both hands with occasional repetitive hand movements. Visual acuity required for reading and computer work. Frequent bending, stooping, and stair climbing required with occasional reaching and squatting required. Requires 80% standing and/or walking and 20% sitting. Work week includes five 8-hour days. Must be on call if needed on off shift.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works with the Printing Department Employees and Quality Assurance Technicians to make sure that goals on production, safety, quality, scrap, and housekeeping are established and met on a daily basic.
- Monitors each line by doing quality checks on the product and visual checks on the machinery to maintain top quality and limit equipment failure.
- Promotes safe work practices to all Printing Department Employees and helps enforce all safety rules to production shift personnel.
- Establishes and maintains teamwork between all members of shift and the dept.
- Reports all safety hazards immediately to Printing Manager.
- Ensures work orders are entered into data system and follows through.
- Assists in making order changes and makes sure they are performed efficiently and effectively, minimizing scrap and maintaining good quality.
- Ensures that quality checks are done on time and documented on QC Quality Sheet.
- Reads all shop orders and spec sheets and makes sure all special instructions are followed and carried out.
- Ensures employees have the right tools to do the job.
- Maintains and enforces good housekeeping in the dept.
- Makes sure all scrap rolls and boxes are being weighed and labeled per procedure.
- Communicates to other Printing Employees on next shift for smooth transition at shift change.
- Stage materials at lines for upcoming orders.
- Continuous training of machinery, safety, and quality to line operators.
- Does minor mechanical work on equipment as problems arise.
- Monitors SFDC and make sure Operators are entering correctly.
- Assists in running R & D orders.
- Assists in performing material subs when needed.
- Monitors rerun material and make sure shift is running reruns when possible.
- Operates a line when needed.
- Monitors and enforces Company policies and procedures.
- Assists Printing Manager in introduction and implementation of any departmental goals or plans.
- Other duties assigned by Printing Manager.
