Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and the ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room setting.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions and vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform airway management and basic life support as necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective discharge planning.
- Assist in trauma medicine procedures and acute pain management strategies.
- Monitor patients for behavioral health issues and provide appropriate interventions.
- Utilize laboratory results to inform patient care decisions.
- Operate neonatal ventilators when required for neonatal emergencies.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain clinical competencies.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Strong knowledge of emergency nursing protocols and procedures.
- Experience or training in airway management, trauma medicine, and acute pain management preferred.
- Familiarity with behavioral health practices is a plus.
- Proficient in basic life support (BLS) techniques; advanced certifications are advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
