Job Title: Maintenance Director
Reports to: President

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to lead our Maintenance Department, which consists of approximately 10 team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical or engineering background, coupled with proven leadership capabilities. This role involves developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs, overseeing daily performance, and ensuring the efficient operation of all maintenance activities.
Supervisory Responsibilities: All maintenance personnel

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and manage preventative maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Monitor and review the performance of maintenance personnel, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and technical issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal operation of machinery and equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify and address potential problems before they lead to downtime.
  • Manage maintenance schedules, ensuring timely completion of repairs and preventative tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and inventory of spare parts.
  • Responsible for sourcing replacement parts and coordinating outside contractors when necessary
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure maintenance needs are met and production goals are achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Prepare reports and present findings to senior management, providing recommendations for improvements and investments.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership position.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing preventative maintenance programs.

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, maintenance management software and other relevant tools
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance operations.

Physical Requirements:
  • Combination of office and hands-on work, with the need to inspect and troubleshoot equipment in various conditions when necessary.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
