Description

Primary Function:

Performs inspection and packaging of injection molded parts per established quality specifications.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs quality inspection of molded parts ensuring they meet customer quality specifications. Communicates any non-conforming product to Lead, Supervisor or Technician.
• Counts, packages, stacks and labels finished product.
• Maintains standard production rates on molded parts.
• Documents and tracks non-conforming product in ERP system.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Trims excess material from molded parts.
• Assists in moving finished product to designated staging areas.
• Maintains safety and housekeeping standards in work area.
• Communicates any concerns regarding raw material availability, safety or mechanical issues in work area.

Requirements

Required Skill/Knowledge: 

Basic math, reading and computer skills, detail oriented and organized, ability to work at a fast pace. Must be able to read and understand work instructions. Spirit of teamwork, ability to multi-task and dependable. Previous experience working with quality inspection and standards.

Preferred Skills/ Knowledge:

1 year of previous manufacturing experience, previous experience in part quality inspection.

Education Level / Required Certification:

High school diploma, GED or equivalent
